Privacy Policy

DayBank is a daily budgeting app designed to help you spend consciously. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

1. Information We Collect

Data You Enter Directly

DayBank stores the following information locally on your device only:

• Your daily or monthly budget amount
• Spend entries you log manually (amount, label, date)
• App settings and notification preferences
• Your streak history and best streak count

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the CSV export feature (a Pro feature). It is not transmitted to DayBank, our servers, or any third party.

Data We Do Not Collect

DayBank does not collect, access, or store:

• Your name, email address, or any account information
• Your bank account details or financial institution data
• Your location
• Advertising identifiers or tracking identifiers
• Usage analytics or behavioural data

2. In-App Purchases

DayBank offers optional in-app purchases through Apple's App Store, including a DayBank Pro subscription and a one-time streak recovery consumable.

All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple via StoreKit. DayBank does not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or billing address at any point. Apple's Privacy Policy governs the collection and use of payment data.

Your subscription status is verified directly with Apple on each app launch. This status is never stored on our servers — we have no servers that hold your data.

3. Notifications

If you enable push notifications, DayBank uses Apple's UserNotifications framework to schedule and deliver local notifications to your device. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on-device.

DayBank does not use remote push notification services. No data is transmitted to external servers to trigger your notifications.

4. Data Storage & Security

All app data — your budget settings, spend entries, and streak history — is stored using Apple's SwiftData framework on your local device. This data is:

• Protected by your device's built-in security and encryption
• Synced to iCloud via Apple's CloudKit framework if you are signed into iCloud on your device (see Section 5 below)
• Not accessible to us or any third party

To delete all your DayBank data, delete the app from your device and, if using iCloud sync, delete the DayBank data from your iCloud account via iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.

5. iCloud Sync

DayBank uses Apple's CloudKit framework to sync your budget data across your devices via iCloud. This means your spend entries, settings, and streak history are automatically kept in sync between any iPhone or iPad where you are signed into the same Apple ID with DayBank installed.

Specifically:

• Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account — it is never stored on our servers
• Apple encrypts iCloud data in transit and at rest in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy
• We have no ability to access, view, or retrieve your iCloud data at any time
• iCloud sync is controlled by you — you can disable it at any time in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud → DayBank

If you disable iCloud sync, your data will remain stored locally on your device only and will no longer sync across devices.

6. Third-Party Services

DayBank uses no third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or tracking frameworks. The app has no external dependencies beyond Apple's native iOS frameworks.

The only third-party interaction is Apple's App Store and StoreKit for in-app purchases, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

6. Children's Privacy

DayBank is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. As noted throughout this policy, DayBank does not collect personal information from any user regardless of age.

7. Your Rights

Because DayBank stores all data locally on your device and does not collect personal information, there is no personal data held by us for you to request, modify, or delete through us.

You have full control over your data:

• To delete your data: delete the DayBank app from your device
• To export your data: use the CSV Export feature (DayBank Pro)
• To manage notifications: iOS Settings → Notifications → DayBank
• To manage backups: iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document and note the change in the app's release notes.

Continued use of DayBank after any changes to this policy constitutes acceptance of those changes.
