ShoeTrack collects nothing. All data stays on your iPhone. ShoeTrack has no accounts and no servers. There are no analytics, no advertising, no identifiers, no crash reporting, and no tracking of any kind.
With your permission, ShoeTrack reads the following from Apple Health to track the mileage on your shoes:
Access is read-only: ShoeTrack never writes anything to Health. Health data is processed and stored only on your iPhone. It is never uploaded, sold, shared with anyone (including us), or used for advertising or marketing. You can change or revoke access at any time in the Health app or in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.
Your shoes, their names, photos, colors, notes, mileage limits, the runs assigned to them, and the comfort ratings you give after a run are stored only in ShoeTrack's private storage on your iPhone and included in your normal device backup. Nothing is synced to iCloud or any other service.
If you add a photo of a shoe, you choose it with Apple's photo picker, so ShoeTrack only receives the single photo you pick — it has no access to the rest of your library. The photo is resized and kept on your device, and its main color is worked out on-device to theme the shoe.
If you allow notifications, ShoeTrack schedules local notifications on your iPhone — a quick "how did they feel?" after a run, mileage alerts, and reminders to assign new runs. They are created on your device; no push service or server is involved. You can turn them off in ShoeTrack's Settings or in iOS Settings.
ShoeTrack's own code makes no network calls and works fully offline. Purchasing the app and the optional "Rate ShoeTrack" prompt are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.
Deleting a shoe in ShoeTrack removes it and its assigned runs from the app. Deleting the app removes everything ShoeTrack stored. Your workouts remain in Apple Health, which ShoeTrack never modifies.
ShoeTrack collects no data from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date. Since ShoeTrack collects nothing, we don't expect it to.
