Privacy Policy

Tempo: Music Player · Effective July 16, 2026

Tempo collects nothing. No personal data, no listening history, no analytics, no identifiers, no crash reports. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no tracking of any kind.

Your Music Stays on Your Device

Tempo plays music stored on your iPhone: your iTunes and Apple Music library purchases, and audio files you import yourself. Your library, playlists, favorites, and settings are stored only on your device. Nothing is uploaded, synced, or transmitted anywhere.

No Network Connections

Tempo's own code makes zero network calls. The app works fully offline. The only exception: if you choose to play a track from your Apple Music library that is not downloaded to your device, playback is handled by Apple's system music player, which streams it under Apple's own privacy policy. Tempo itself sends and receives nothing.

Media Library Permission

Tempo asks for permission to access your music library for one purpose: showing and playing the songs you own. This access is read-only within Tempo, is processed entirely on your device, and is never shared with anyone — including us.

Imported Files

Files you import into Tempo are copied into the app's private storage on your device and included in your normal device backup. Deleting them in Tempo, or deleting the app, removes them.

Children

Tempo collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date. Since Tempo collects nothing, we don't expect it to.
