That track lives in your Apple Music library but isn't downloaded to your device. When you're online, Tempo streams it through the system player. To play it offline forever, download it once in the Apple Music app — Tempo will then play the local copy anywhere.
Tracks bought from iTunes before roughly 2009 carry FairPlay copy protection, which no third-party app is permitted to play. iTunes purchases made after that are DRM-free and play normally in Tempo.
Two ways: use the import action inside Tempo to pick files from the Files app, or share an audio file from any app and choose Open in Tempo. Supported formats: MP3, AAC/M4A, FLAC, WAV, AIFF.
Check Settings → Privacy & Security → Media & Apple Music, and make sure Tempo is allowed. Tempo shows music stored on this device; music in the cloud appears with a cloud icon.
Imported files can be deleted from Tempo directly (swipe or long-press). Songs from your Apple Music library can be hidden from Tempo — hiding never touches your actual Apple Music library, and you can unhide them in Tempo's settings.
No. Nothing. See the https://nikae.github.io/daybank-legal/tempo-privacy-policy.html — it's short.
